Overview
This major is dedicated to cultivating well-rounded individuals in terms of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor. Students are expected to possess a systematic and open knowledge structure that integrates basic knowledge in economics, management, law, and civil engineering technology with specialized knowledge in engineering cost. They should have strong professional comprehensive qualities and abilities, practical skills, and innovative capabilities. They should also have excellent English communication skills, a broad international perspective, and a sense of sustainable development. They should be familiar with international engineering cost theories and practices, as well as cost analysis in urban renewal and transformation. They should have good professional ethics and an innovative spirit, and be capable of working in the field of engineering both domestically and internationally, including the construction of fixed asset investment and engineering cost management systems, the entire process value and cost management of construction projects, engineering auditing and arbitration consulting, and solving practical problems. They should be high-quality applied talents.
Why Choose Engineering Cost
- Broad Industry Prospects: Engineering Cost is highly technical, the industry is mature both domestically and internationally, the profession covers a wide range, and cost engineers have broad career development prospects.
- Distinctive Talent Cultivation: Through the close integration of "teaching-project-enterprise", jointly building on-campus and off-campus practice bases, and collaborative education between industry, academia, and research, we cultivate high-quality applied talents with dual professional literacy and skills in construction cost and project management.
- Emphasis on Both Practice and Innovation: Establish a talent cultivation system that combines knowledge acquisition and application ability, practice and innovation ability, guiding students to improve professional quality and comprehensive ability through disciplinary competitions, social practice, and other extracurricular activities.
- Strong Faculty: We have a team of "dual-qualified" professional teachers with rich teaching experience, many of whom hold professional qualifications such as cost engineer, construction engineer, and bidding engineer. The proportion of associate professors continues to increase, and the teacher-student ratio is excellent.
- Advanced Teaching Facilities: Equipped with modern smart classrooms, advanced professional software, and experimental equipment, using building information management software to simulate engineering construction projects, achieving the combination of theory and practical training.
- Innovative Teaching Mode: Adopt a teaching mode that combines theory and engineering cases, cultivating π-type cost engineers with six major literacies and practical application; achieve school-enterprise collaborative education through studio mode; cultivate students' teamwork ability through disciplinary competitions, and use diversified assessment methods to improve students' classroom participation and learning ability.
